The Padstow / Harlyn Bay Area
Harlyn Bay is a beautiful sweep of golden sand in an area designated for its outstanding natural beauty, sheltered by Trevose Head with its dramatic cliffs, offering great swimming and surfing as well as catering for everyone from toddlers to anglers and cliff walkers. The beach itself is approximately half a mile wide, there are low rocky headlands at each end of the bay, ideal for rock pooling. The Harlyn Surf school operates from the beach and surf lessons can be arranged via our link site.
The quaint fishing port of Padstow (10 minutes drive) with Rick Stein’s Seafood Restaurant, cookery school and deli is only a ten minute drive away, St Merryn is the nearest village, five minutes drive from the house with a Post Office, butchers, deli. fishmongers and restaurants, there is also a large Tesco store just outside Padstow.
Within a five minute drive there are the equally impressive beaches of Trevone, Constantine, Treyarnon and the Championship Links Course of Trevose.

North Cornwall has sixty miles of dramatic Heritage coastline, sandy beaches, hidden coves and pretty fishing villages. Other local quality attractions include King Arthur’s Tintagel, the beautiful Lost Gardens of Heligan, the Tate at St Ives and The Eden Project. Padstow, with its gourmet restaurants, Rick Stein’s and Newquay with Jamie Oliver’s 15 restaurant are all close by.
